This amazing series emphasizing the unique gifts and strengths of women and providing tools for empowerment and success is back!\n\nThe goal of this Program is to create a community of leaders across all industries who will provide ongoing community and support to each other.\n\n\n\nThe topic of our August LeadHERship event: Women\, Leadership\, and Connections.\n\nHalf of Joyce Waugh's 44-year career in the Roanoke region has been with the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce. Previously\, Waugh was Public Relations Director for Roanoke Valley Psychiatric Center (now part of LewisGale Health System) and Assistant Director at Roanoke County's Department of Economic Development. She joined the Roanoke Regional the Chamber in July 2000 as Vice President of Public Policy & Strategic Issues\, and became President & CEO in October 2008.\n\nJoyce was named the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (VACCE) Chamber Executive of the Year in 2012. She was also the first woman in our region to earn the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) designation of Certified Economic Developer (CEcD).\n\n\n\nThis program is limited to 60 participants and is expected to sell out quickly.\n\nLunch will be served!\n\n\n\nSponsorships of this 9-series program are available HERE!\n\nCall 540-387-0267 or email director@s-rcchamber.org to inquire about opportunities.
