God's Voice in the Dark and Difficult: Dr. Bethany Sollereder
Bethany Sollereder works in the materials department at the University of Oxford. She earned a Ph.D. in theology at the University of Exeter, U.K., and a master?s degree in interdisciplinary theology from Regent College, Vancouver, Canada. She will note that it is easy to listen for God in happy aspects of creation, such as sunsets and kittens. Instead, in this talk she will focus on how we can hear God in the difficult and dark places of the natural world, in blood, fire, and fangs. We may be surprised by what we discover about God?s heart in and through these less-heard voices. This lecture is sponsored by the Roanoke College Benne Center for Religion & Society.
