The next in our Let's Get Down to Business series, Stellar Service, in partnership with Visit Virginia's Blue Ridge, is a focused training to create the best in Brand Ambassadors for our region.
'Tourism is vital to job creation and economic growth in Virginia’s Blue Ridge. To further this growth, the region needs brand ambassadors – hospitality employees who are thoroughly engaged,
connected, and committed to Virginia’s Blue Ridge.
This training brings together two functional elements of business development - branding and customer service. Businesses lacking in one or both have a low chance of survival. Likewise, in order for the region to promote itself as a tourist destination, hospitality employees must serve as regional brand ambassadors through effective customer service.
Good customer service is built on effective communication. Good customer service means understanding communication as a process and using critical thinking skills to navigate that process. Good customer service means developing one’s personal brand to present a consistent image both verbally and non-verbally to customers. Good customer service utilizes available resources to engage and promote Virginia’s Blue Ridge.'
