About Us

SML GIVES INC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the Smith Mountain Lake region, dedicated to ending hunger and reducing poverty through direct, community-driven solutions. Founded in response to growing local need, the organization connects businesses, neighbors, and resources to ensure no one is left behind.

Through four core programs—Mobile Food Delivery, Partner Pantry, Dental Access, and Crisis Stabilization—SML GIVES INC addresses both immediate needs and long-term stability. From delivering food directly to homebound neighbors, to supplying local pantries, providing no-cost dental care, and offering emergency financial assistance, each program is designed to meet people where they are with dignity and compassion.

SML GIVES INC works in partnership with organizations such as Lake Christian Ministries, SML Good Neighbors, and Stepping Stone Mission to strengthen, not duplicate, the existing support network. By leveraging collaboration and community engagement, the organization maximizes impact across the region.

At its core, SML GIVES INC exists to build a stronger, more connected community, where neighbors are supported, families are stabilized, and everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive.
